24 October 2017
GFMA sent a letter to the G20 Leaders in advance of the Argentina Presidency for 2018. In the letter, GFMA encouraged the Argentinian Finance Minister to: renew the G20’s commitment to cross-border regulatory coordination to support growth; strengthen cross-border regulatory
dialogue; ensure appropriate capital and liquidity standards that protect financial stability while encouraging economic growth; help the UK and EU deliver Brexit in a way that protects financial stability; tackle the growing threat to cybersecurity by ensuring adequate regulation and supervision on all
financial players; resist data localization policies; and bolster the growth of sustainable finance.
